Ingot Casting Machines

Casting machines can be horizontal or incline with moulds either bolted direct to conveyor main chain or suitable to slide into mould carrier allowing fast exchange and improved knockout.

T. Masters-Ingot Casting Conveyors developed to operate in conjunction with modern melting and refining furnaces, to produce Ingots of a reliable shape, weight and quality are individually designed to suit customers’ requirement. Machines comprise of an electrically driven, endless moving conveyor chain on which the moulds can be fixed in alternative ways to suit the application. Molten metal is poured from the furnace via an Automatic Pouring System, into the moving chain of moulds. Finally, the finished ingot is discharged via knockout system at the end of the conveyor.

Porosities Can Be Micro Or Macro In Size, Which Causes Gas Or Fluid To Pass Through. The Impregnation Sealant Is Only For Such Porosities And Not For Major Casting Defects, Casting Cracks, And Large-Diameter Blow Holes. A Porosity Is Like A Cobweb Structure And Not A Through-Hole. So, It Is Tough To Difficult The Porosity Size That Can Be Sealed. A Normal Thumb Rule Is That A Porosity Of Size 300 Microns Can Be Sealed. However, A Porosity Of More Than 300 Microns Can Also Be Sealed Depending On The Metal Structure And The Porosity Nature.
